What We Do
Initial Consultation:
Shawn or Stuart will contact the client and can provide a verbal estimate and/or organise to meet for an onsite quote.
To quote, we attend the site and make recommendations on levels, placement, drainage, size, recommended surface, retaining options, landscaping preparation and expectations of the finished product.
NB: We are not responsible for any permit applications that may be required, if required it is the owners responsibility. But we can provide advice on the details that may be needed for application.
Construction
In general our arenas consist of a base, a middle surface and a riding surface. After preparing the area for the arena, we construct the base usually of either limestone or metal dust. After levelling, drainage and compaction are complete we apply a middle surface if needed and the riding surface.
Our Surface – Riversand and/or Woodchip/Fines Mix
Local Australian conditions often need to be accounted for. Our arenas take into account the local conditions and availability of resources (water or drag etc) for ongoing maintenance. We provide a great quality riding surface that is budget conscious. We can install other surfaces, at a clients request and we are happy to discuss alternatives.
When the arena surface is complete, it is dragged up and ready to ride. Shawn and Stuart are happy to discuss recommended maintenance. The area is tidied and left in preparation for riding. We are happy to work with other contractors in regards to fencing and landscaping and can setup the area for them to commence their work. A new arena is warranted for 12 months and Shawn can always be contacted to discuss any issues.
Shawn and Stuart are also available to discuss arena rebuilds and maintenance and repairs to existing arenas.
